Impressions of the Motorola Droid from an iPhone user
When I began this post it was titled "Motorola Droid vs iPhone 3G impressions." I wrote about 900 words along these lines and it struck me I was going about this all wrong. The old title set the stage for a faux "objective" comparison, as if I was free from any bias, as if the Droid actually had a shot at winning. To be fair it did, but after a week of using the Droid I realized it didn't. I was and I remain an iPhone user, so rather then try to be objective, I'm going to just write about the Droid with that as an assumed basis for my writing. So, let's get on with it.

Uncomfortable Words
I was playing a game of Words With Friends [iTunes Link] and was able to score 63 points playing the word "nazi" across a triple word score (w/ triple letter score on "n" and also scoring with the words "na" and "at"). I was uncomfortable with this, as if by benefiting from the word, the Evil (note the capitol "E") connotations of it would reflect back on me. I know it's just a word, and there are were other potentially offensive words like "hell" and "tramp" already in play, but still, none of them were Evil words. Of course reason won over, and ultimately nothing else I saw was going to get me 63 points, so played it. I would have been much more comfortable playing the the word "fuck" but I'm not sure that is in the Scrabble game's dictionary (it wouldn't have scored as well anyway).
